I have been purchasing a lot of vinyl lately, and am disappointed at the quality of some discs,...even a 45rpm copy of "Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" was warped, causing a "Whoof" every revolution.
I am currently returning and re-purchasing about 50% of my purchases from mail order sources and even from visits to HMv, which involves a 50m round trip.
Am I being too picky, do you reject copies that aren't flat, or with excessive surface noise (i've just received a Joe Bonamassa album that is painful to listen to,...not your fault, Joe).
A non-recurring click or a pop doesn't bother me, but in the days of 180g vinyl and prices of £40-£90, quoted for some new recordings, is it too much to ask for a noise-free, flat record?
What do you consider acceptable?,.....
