Aktiv cards in MDSM

I have a Majik DSM used with a Majik 4100. The 4100 has Aktiv cards for use with my Ninkas, and the internal amp in the MDSM has been disabled. I'm looking at the Majik Isobariks as a replacement for the Ninkas, but I'm confused as to my options re going aktiv. Could I use the 4 channels in the 4100 to drive the bass units aktively, and use the power amp of the MDSM for the treble (non aktive)? Are there any other alternatives?
