I treated myself to a new (Huawei) smartphone recently and up to now haven't tried it out with Kinsky, however, my old Nexus which I've been using up till now is getting so slow it's nearly unuseable. I'm not quite sure why this should be, since it's still on V5.1.1, but yesterday while trying to change the volume it didn't respond for what must have been 10 or 20 seconds and then suddenly reacted - fortunately, it went from 65 to about 30-something - if I'd been trying to raise the volume it could have been painful!
As a result I decided to live with the smaller screen and loaded, Kazoo, Kinsky and BubbleDS Next onto the smartphone, Kazoo and Bubble work fine, but when I try to run Kinsky the screen goes black for a second or two, just as though Kinsky was starting normally, but the buttons don't appear before everything reverts back to the phone's start screen.
Unfortunately, try as I might, I don't really get on with either Kazoo or Bubble (it's not obvious to me how to change between play now, next or later, nor can I see any obvious way to edit a playlist on either of them) and since Linn seem to be on the way to phasing out Kinsky, if it really is a problem with Android V8, I'm not sure how high to rate the chance that Linn will want to put any effort into solving the problem.
Has anybody else had this problem or, alternatively and even better, has anybody got Kinsky working on a V8 Android smart phone (if so, it would probably be interesting to know which one).
Cheers
Roy
