Question about minim
I would like to have a folder in Kinsky of the minim server, which shows me the folder change date of my artist. Is this possible and if so how do I do it?

Power switch failure
My a2200 for the second time has suffered a power switch failure. Can power switches be bought or what would anyone recommend for the best solution? I live in Wakefield, West Yorks.

Exaktbox prices?
Is there something strange in the past with regard to pricing of Exaktboxes?
I was going to upgrade in stages and bought an Akurate Exaktbox 10 as part of my upgrade.
I then decided to change upgrade path so decided to sell the Exaktbox. It's brand new and unused but has been for sale for quite a while with no interest.
Every other Linn product I have ever sold in the last 20 years has fetched a good residual price and sold within a really short time.
What's so different about the demand for Exaktboxes?

I then decided to change upgrade path so decided to sell the Exaktbox. It's brand new and unused but has been for sale for quite a while with no interest.

350 exakt module fit
Hi all
Question for those who have klimax 350 exakt katalyst speakers. How are the modules on the back supposed to fit--- are they fairly wobbly and how much space is there between wood cabinet and module on the sides. My old 350 a modules were not as wobbly on the back of the speaker and there seemed to be a tighter fit between cabinet and module i.e. Less gap. Thanks!!!!

Klimax Exact Dsm setup
Hi guys,
I have a question regarding klimax exact dsm setup. In konfig under inputs, specifically analogue input there is a setting called input transformer and options are on or off----what is this setting????? Thanks!!!

Ninka Bi or Tri - active?
I am expecting to soon add a second power amp and active cards to activate my Ninka speakers.
As you know, they are a 2 way speaker, but can be set to either Bi or Tri-wire active.
In theory, could I run two pairs of speaker cable from the mid/bass amp to take advantage of the tri-active configuration?
If this is even possible, would there be a sonic improvement compared to Bi-active configuration?

Linn Kazoo app/iPad mini 4 problem
Nothing happens when I try to press the letters on the right hand side of the screen when I'm in the artist window. Have to scroll up and down. Not easy when you have about 7000 albums and a lot of different artists. Works on the Windows version of Kazoo.

Room vanishing during music playback
This has been going on for quite some time (we call that being not a good historian) when I am running the main room from my IPad on occasion the room will will just vanish the music keeps playing . I have to close kinsky reopen and it shows up. For example I was listening to something last night on main system and song casting to 2 other rooms. My wife asked me to turn it down (frequent request around here) I went to kinsky and main room was not visible. I turned Kinsky off and then back on and there it was main room alive and well. What to do?

QNAP NAS Lightning surge - what to do?
Yesterday we had a strong lightning storm for a couple of hours. Eventually it stroke somewere in the vicinity, but our router and the attached NAS were impacted as well, I suspect via the telephony line.
I only noticed as WiFi would stop working, after rebooting the router Internet and WiFi were ok again.
It was only today that I noticed that the NAS connected to the router would not be available for our daily backups. It turned out that all LAN outputs of the router and the LAN input at the NAS (which was connected) are not working any more. (I tested the NAS at a different connection and there is no LAN connectivity any more).
When I bend the cable a bit, the NAS will power off, so something is definitely wrong.
Is there any way (or does it make sense) to repair this? It is an old TS-219P+. I assume there is no LAN card that could be easily replaced (haven't opened it yet)?
The disks are still spinning, so worst case I need to replace the NAS but can keep the disks. Will I keep the data on the disks, if I simply plug them into a new NAS?

Pre-amp question
I am a bit confused. I see a section for Linn amplifiers on their website, but where are the pre-amps? Suppose I wanted to run an LP12 into a phono section, then pre-amp, then an Akurate (for instance), thence my speakers? I guess the streamers are all preamps too??

Kazoo Waiting for Rooms
Just got a brand new HP laptop running Windows 10 yesterday.
Installed the Kazoo App and the Kinsky Program.
Not sure what the difference is between an App and a Program - it just seems to me that calling something an App makes it cool for the iphone crowd.
Anyway - Kinsky found my rooms and DS devices straight away, but Kazoo is just sitting there with a nice pretty swirling circle, 'Waiting for Rooms'. It's found the music library hard drive OK.
Tried rebooting the DS from within Konfig and also rebooted the router, doesn't make any difference.
Any suggestions please?

Exakted 212's with sub sounds disappointing
Hello,
I'm just puzzling which way to go.
At this moment I listen to a adsm/1+aeb10+a4200d (b+m)+c5100(t+st)+a 212mk1+(one!)sizmik 10.25. Silver interlinks/2xk400
My room is about 11mtr deep and the side walls are non-parallel (average about 4mtr). The speakers are located about halfway the room facing in the long way direction. The (1) subwoofer is located wright in the middle between the 212's so not close to any wall.
I can't help saying that I'm a little bit disappointed about the sound. It does not nearly coming close to the sound I loved to get from my akubarik aktiv's (located on the same place).
And finally, everything has to be compatible with a surround set up too....
What could be the problem?
1- Usage of one sub instead of two? (the sizmik does have both q L and R input so is double wired to the exaktbox.
2- Usages of so+ made some improvement but still not convincing. Should I add the subwoofer in so+ too? I thought this was not the idea when you configured the exaktbox filters already with 212+subwoofer.
3- other ideas?
It's just that I am somewhat on a "death end" with upgrading concerning my akubarik aktiv's. Upgrading the akubariks to integrated exakt is too expensive at this moment so I was looking for an Exakt alternative to my akubarik aktiv's which is more costeffective.
But as I sad, this 212/sizmik/exaktbox option doesn't confince me at all at this moment.
Any thoughts are welcome and thanks already for the respons.

[Konfig 4.33.70 Beta Bug] Change Speaker Volume Offsets crash
This is a bit complex. Happens on both Windows 7 and 10 but very slightly different on 10.
Scenario:
I changed the volume offset for one speaker, but with white noise still playing rather than hit the Apply bottom right, I hit the Apply at top right (which appears as soon as any change is made due to a new configuration). This is probably user error and not how the offset should be applied (so it perhaps shouldn't appear here), but it caused all sorts of issues:
1. I got an error in Konfig to say "Before optimisation can be performed, please ensure all your Exakt devices are correctly configured and up to date".
2. The white noise continues to play but SO window in Konfig remains with the error message. DS and Exakt tabs still show correct information.
3. On attempting to exit Konfig (red x) it crashes with the Windows error reporting dialog.
4. On restarting Konfig, SO settings and speaker offsets are as it should be, but on Windows 10 the DS tab remains empty with spinning circle until the DS is power-cycled (I forced a crash report if that is useful).
A roundabout way of saying that either the Apply button at top-right of this screen should not appear at all, or it isn't working as it perhaps should.

[Konfig 4.33.70 Beta] Volume Offsets feature requests
In the Change Speaker Volume Offsets screen, would it be possible:
a) for Konfig to toggle Repeat off and remove the white noise track from the DS playlist when either Apply or Cancel buttons are hit?
And
b) play both left and right together? It's really hard to judge when played separately - or even could the +/- be adjustable with the currently playing track (and thus not have to use the white noise track?

Loving the shuffle
I am probably a bit behind with updating things, unless of course I get a message saying it needs updating and click here to update to the latest...
So I have only just updated my Asset UPnP to the latest version after using this to feed the music from my laptop to Kinsky for several years.
I couldn't believe my luck when I saw you can now shuffle your whole record collection and play the lot on random.
I love doing this as find it interesting to see what comes next and also digs up some tracks that I had forgotten about or didn't even know I had
I am sure some of you hate the idea of shuffle and would prefer to listen to whole albums in their entirety and in the order in which they were "meant" to be heard, and although I can see the value in this, especially with concept albums etc..... but personally I am loving the shuffle function :-)

How to prevent Kazoo form getting stuck scanning a rmnet_data0 subnet?
Over and over again Kazoo (4.11.226.0) on Android (7.1.2) starts scanning a rmnet_data0 subnet. It then gets stuck since there are no media server or renderers on that network. Is there a way of preventing Kazoo from starting scanning rmnet_data0? Selecting the other available subnet (wlan0) in the Settings menu immediately brings Kazoo back to service. But it is a bit annoying having to manually select the right network every 10 mnutes or so. Any idea how to solve this problem?
