I have just bought a Sneaky DS to go with my Majik DS.
There may be hardware limitations, but I wondered if it was possible to have the Sneaky capable of giving a FIXED output on its line outputs and still use the internal power amp with the internal volume control?
The sneaky is in an upstairs bedroom, where the line output feeds into my bedroom audio system. I wanted to also use the sneaky volume control/PA to feed speakers in the Kitchen below. This is not possible without having the sneaky line output level also variable! This works, but is obviously not ideal. In the end, I used the Sneaky in fixed output mode connected to a Roomamp 2i to control and drive the kitchen speakers. This works well, (I control it all via Kinsky) but it is still an extra box, just as a volume control!
If I'm keeping the Roomamp 2i, it would be nice if the Sneaky/Kinsky could control more of the Roomamp's features (ie the sub zone). Given the obsolescence of the 2i, I suspect that the latter is unlikely
