I'm new to Linn, having just upgraded from my beloved Naim Nait 2 (currently for sale on the Bay), to Majik Kontrol preamp matched with LK140 power. The sound improvement is stunning, but (and I don't know if I'm imagining this), the timing of my CD player (NAD C542) now seems off. It's as if the musicians hadn't quite got their acts together in the recording studio! Could this be the quality of the new amps exposing a relative lack of quality with the player? If so (this is starting to become an expensive do!), am I better to look out for a good s/h Karik or Ikemi, or can anyone recommend another Cd player upgrade to compliment my new gear?
