I just hopped online to tell you "I'm an Idiot!" How could I have been so SILLY?
See with all these wires n stuff going on its easy to make a mistake. Mistakes ( especially with elementary wiring ) can have HUGE negative consequences regarding sound.
Aktiv/Bi-wire/Tri-wire etc... Tooo many wires n sockets for my little brain cells. obviously...
What is this all about you ask?
Well......
Whilst checking all the connections on my system after re-positioning the speakers, I just happened to notice that I have managed to plug the audio output lead from my Ikemi CD player into both RIGHT CH OUT!!!!
Its not even like I should not know any better as I have worked as an audio engineer setting up and running large active and passive PA systems for years and I been into HiFi since before I could crawl. So no excuses...
........And worse....Its been like that for the last couple of months!
Anyway I'm a dafty, and now a very happy dafty as simply replugging one of the leads into the LEFT CH OUT has given a huge boost to my CD player.... funny that....
Now away and check yer wires!
