I know that there are a few on here who use the Sony X series Walkman (like I do) and really rate it. I have been concerned that it will be coming to the end of it's life soon and that there is no replacement. It looks like Sony have been listening and are introducing a new Walkman (F886) which will have the noise cancelling ability (like the X series), be 32 GB and, the most interesting, is that it will be flac and Apple lossless capable. It looks you have to use the supplied head phones for the noise cancelling (as on the X series) but recommendations are to buy decent headphones to get the best from the Walkman. I use the Sony headphones for flights and Shure for normal use, so not a problem for me. It will cost about £250 and should be available in the next month or so.
