Hi, new to the Linn forum, based in London. Am mainly a 2-channel guy, but recently got into Mch, mainly for classical music. I owned Martin Logans and Audio Research amplification, but for Mch, I want to start off with a 5.1 and then build up 5 more ceiling speakers for the Auro 3d/Atmos. I heard the Datasat processor, and it is phenomenal. Unfortunately, with the Datasat Auro 3d processor at 20k, and the Trinnov at similar prices, the alternative I am looking at is to run a computer with Dirac into a multichannel dac like exasound e28.
Whether for Datasat or exasound, I would prefer Active speakers to keep the cost and the mess low. Straight wires from the Datasat or exasound to Linn's Akubarik Aktiv floorstanders and standamounts will be ideal. I can always compromise on the ceiling speakers.
That's why I wandered onto this forum, and wanted to know if there are any Linn Multichannel systems around, especially with Aktivs. Quite willing to travel 2 - 3 hours from London for a listen if no one in London has it.
