I have a somewhat infuriating problem with my Majik DSM (2012 version, w/HDMI, running 4.19.799). Randomly, the device becomes completely invisible to all control points, and does not show up in Konfig. This occurs in periods – all the time some days, whereas it may work flawlessly for a week or so in between. Oddly, the DSM itself seems unaffected and keeps playing music, even though other devices on the network can't see it.
My network is quite simple – an AirPort Extreme router, and an old iMac running Kazoo server. Mac and DSM both connected to the router using cat6 cabling. The only thing in between is an unmanaged gigabit switch between the DSM and router. Both the Mac and DSM have static IPs assigned in the router's DHCP settings.
Note that the DSM is not only invisible to iPads and other wireless devices, but also to wired computers on the network. Entering the DSM's IP address in a browser window also doesn't work when the DSM is acting this way (the browser reports a lost connection after a while).
Any clues on what the cause could be? Any hints on how to continue troubleshooting would be much welcome, I'm a bit stuck here.
