as a regular listening source?
I ask because I seem to have discovered SACD late in the day. My player is a Unidisc SC and was really purchased for movies. It is attached to a 5125 and this in turn is powering a very modest Quad L-ite 77 5.1 set up.
The music coming out of these diminutive speakers from an SACD disc has really surprised me. I'm currently listening to Tommy Smith's "Blue Smith", in stereo plus sub, not 5.1 and it is simply stunning. I only have a small number of SACD discs, and have previously only heard them as CD hybrid, but I shall be giving them more attention in future.
I only tried this because my main audio system has had to be dismantled for a few days to allow the dedicated ring to be put in. I can see a Unidisk replacing the Genki in the main system in the not too distant future!
Any favourite SACD recommendations?
