Enjoying my akurate ds/0 dyna upgrade in my system, and I have question regarding pre-amp connection.
Pre-amp in use is Mark Levinson 26s (old stuff) connected via balanced connectors, and I can control output and input gain internally with circuitry setup.
I am planning to adjust balanced output gain to 12db which is minimum, and input gain to -7.1db. (I think I have two selections, -1.1 or -7.1).
For optimal performance, which will be the best recommended setting for input & output gain for akurate ds? I turned off digital gain output from akurate ds, as recommended in the manual. I understand trying every option could be the optimal solution, but it can vary according to different recordings and etc., and wondering if any tech experts or someone who has experience with the ML 26s to share the knowledge, that will result in common optimal gain setting for the best sonic quality.
