Another Hole in the Wall!

They don't teach you these skills at DS Training Camp: -

Cut holes in lath and plaster to accommodate pattress boxes for new RJ45 sockets, wrestle with laths as they are difficult to cut, tease out plaster but then remember it's horse hair plaster which comes out in chunks, watch helplessly as large void appears in wall much bigger than you need for box, cut plaster board to size to fit large void (now tidied up and squared off), cut neat square hole in plasterboard for box, use plaster to firmly seat plasterboard in void and ensure good bond with exposed laths, seal all exposed surfaces with PVA, seal around edges with plaster, ensure plasterboard insert is flush with wall, leave overnight to dry and bond.

Just some sanding down, seal with PVA, a skim coat and your done!

Repeat eight times for network sockets throughout the house.

Donald

P.S. Final step - change that Sanderson wallpaper.
