LP12 Hinges - bad design

I have just noticed when removing the LP12 lid, not sure why I checked this but peered over the back of my LP12 and realized the lid has scratched my plinth where the lid goes in. - Obviously not shown when lid is in place.

Must admit it doesn't make me feel too good.

I assume someone else notices this? but me I appear to have a rather mental case of OCD.
