Anyone Using Macbook Pro

I’m about to change my old PC and would like to replace that with a Macbook pro laptop for all we use a computer for it should cover our needs.
At the moment I download to the NAZ from dppoweranp on the PC. Can I work the same system on the Macbook. My skills in IT are ( extreamly basic )
Is there anything else I would need to purchase when getting the Macbook.
