My current LP12 is from 1984 with an Ittok arm and Klyde cartridge circa early 90s. The turntable sits on a Sound Organization stand in a separate room behind where the electronics and speakers are. The primary floor underneath is poured concrete. The turntable is totally isolated from airborne vibration and similarly isolated from any vibrations that are transmitted to the concrete from the speakers.
In such an isolated setting, what upgrades would you recommend to this turntable to obtain the most cost effective improvement in sound? I am keeping the Ittok arm. Also, will this expenditure achieve an improvement as good or better than a more modern turntable from another manufacturer such as maybe Rega or VPI etc..?
For those who need to know, my current electronics are Naim NAP 135 amps, High Cap PS, and NAC 72 Pre-amp. Speakers are Linn DMS. This will all change except for the turntable.
