As I travel back and forth between US and Asia, one thing I really like about Linn is all Linn products support 110-240V auto ranging. (auto sensing) Is this an advantage of using SMPS? Not many other manufacturer seems to support that. I check (Krell, Ayre, Mcintosh, ARC, EAR...). Just to pick everyone's brain:
Do you know of any other manufacturers supports both 110/120 and 220/240 Voltages (auto or manual) without having to send the unit back to manufacturer?
I guess they can fall into 3 categories:
1) Brands supports auto-sensing (like Linn)
2) Brands supports manual voltage switch.
3) Brands that can be easily modified to support either voltage range (ie. transformer has tabs for both voltage)
