Beatles 24 Bit USB and Rainbow US Vinyl Pressings

I'm sick and tired of purchasing multiple copies of music, so I'm going to occasionally post some thoughts/questions on the Linn Forum about reissues. I previously posted some questions regarding the 24 bit FLAC files, and thoughts regarding the US vinyl box set pressed by Rainbow.. both Beatles reissues over the past few years. Summary, some of the vinyl reissues I've opened from Rainbow (Rubber Soul, Revolver, White Album for example) sound like crap - thin, crunchy, muddy, no unity in sound (music does meld) - what an absolute disappointment; it's made me mad for a couple of years. The older capital reissues I had from the late 90s on vinyl were far better. So, I finally received a 2009 Beatles USB that worked containing all the files. I gave a brief, albeit very brief, listen to a couple of tracks on Rubber Soul. Wow both the FLAC files and MP3s sound so much more detailed and unified than the crap vinyl reissues. I'm going to put the box set up on fleabay and see if someone will take it. I'll update the post after a longer listen to the USB files. I HATE WASTING MONEY ON BAD REISSUES! I do have an RCM now and will probably spend more time and effort on finding original pressings. It's just nice to be able to purchase new vinyl, but at $20+ usd I'm getting sick of the risk in getting crappy reissues. One other point and am now way trying to sound a snob. I am fortunate to have a KDS/1, and that's made listening to digital much more enjoyable than it ever was and has been for me. Sometimes it's gives my LP12 a run for it's money. I'm finding myself leaning more and more to newer releases digital only and looking for used vinyl only.
