help! The right glue for Briks Repair...

Recently, I started to see more and more velclo strips glue are becoming crystalised and it can no longer stay on the speakers.
I do not want to replace the entire strips as most of them are still in good shape.
The original glue seems to be water soluble. When I gently rub it with damp cloth, I can clean the surface again. I do not want to ruin the original stain with harsh glue.
What do you recommend for comparable glue that I can apply to the strips wihtout damaging the face of speakers?
