Thoughts about Akurate Exakt

I'm curious as to what Exakt Akurate or Majik will be like.

Akurate Exakt could be a bit like Klimax Exakt I think.

For Klimax it replaces KDSM -line-level-analog- 350A with KEDSM -cat5digital- 350A. More software (and processing) in the KEDSM than the KDSM, plus more processing in the 350As.

Exakt Akubarik should be the same, ADSM - Akubarik to AEDSM.

So I'm wondering about the cost.

The KEDSM is a digital circuit-board in an £2K box. I'm guessing the AEDSM is the same functionality, so presumably the same digital circuit-board in a much cheaper box.

Akurate is about half the price of Klimax stuff usually.

The DS range is built around (usually) exactly the same digital functionality across the range with just a different level of analogue performance. With Exakt there is no analogue performance variation until one gets to the power amp & drivers.

Or perhaps Akurate Exakt will have less functionality. Exakt does room & driver correction in a digital active crossover. Perhaps Akurate wouldn't do some of this, or the resolution would be lower.

Or Akurate Exakt would be one hell of a bargain, a Klimax Exakt in an Akurate case for half the price.
