Today I switched my M140 from 2xK600 3-wired to 2xK600+1xK400 (speaker side splitted) 4-wired. That's an essential upgrade. A must.
After using 109s with KTC and K600 I upgraded to 140s and connected the K600 following the manual: Supertweeter and tweeter bridged, cable plugged into ST+ and T-.
From Keltik times I had an additional matching K400, splitted at the speakers end for the 4th channel, somewhere in the basement.
To get an estimation on the magnitude of effect, I did a pre-test and changed the channel connected at the speaker from ST/T to M/B. That made a clear difference, but not surprisingly, something got better, something worse.
So I stopped sparing the effort and searched for the K400 in the basement and soldered it into the Neutriks in addition to the K600. Hoping to get both advantages from the pre-test.
But... The effect is much bigger that that! Everything snapped into the right order, much more groove and the music is less annoying.
A fine upgrade, one should do as soon as affordable.
At least if a reasonable power amp is already in place.![Big Grin]( "Big Grin")
