Hello all,
It seems that there are more and more LP 12 upgrade options every few months. With this in mind, is there in existence a recommended upgrade path? By this, I suppose I'm asking if there is anything close to a consensus on what order to adopt when upgrading from an older deck.
You can see from my sig. line where my deck currently stands, but given the large array of options now available, I would just like to have a clearer path ahead of me.This may seem obvious to many of you, but I find myself second guessing myself every time I think I know what to try next.
I think I fully understand the "source first" ethic, but the source itself is a system with multiple parts. Below is a list of things that I know are options (there may be more?) How would you rank these in terms of most improvement for the money spent?
Ekos
Cartridge.
Keel
Kore
Rubikon
Khan
New plinth (Mine's a 198?)
Urika
Radikal
Skale
Whatever I missed.
I expect opposing views and comments and I should also point out that I won't buy anything I haven't auditioned, but as my local dealer is 250 miles away, I would at least like to be able to give him a heads up on what I want to audition as well as having the funds to do so before I put him through the trouble of setting things up.
Thanks
